American Heritage Girls
I have a daughter that was active in our local troop, I began volunteering as a parent and was asked to come on as the Vice coordinator. I have enjoyed working alongside the other volunteers as we teach these girls new things and get to experience life alongside them and their families. Safety standards have always been a big deal to me and I've tried to assist our troop in improving/updating what was already in place. We've worked together to find ways to enhance our fundraisers to make them more productive, as well as find new ways to add to what our program offers for the girls to participate with. It has been a true blessing to see these girls grow and change and really start to embrace more of what AHG has to offer!

Ignite Youth Group
I volunteered as a youth group leader at a church I attended. One way I served was by creating bonds with youth, walking through all of life with them, encouraging them, praying with them, holding them accountable, etc. We also worked on becoming a self sufficient youth group, the kids really wanted to do more activities like concerts and things so they did a variety of fundraisers to help pay they're way to those activities. I enjoyed getting to know each of the youth, many of whom I still have contact with today.

Youth Group and Children's Ministry
Worked with the youth group to raise funds to go to events they wanted to attend like Dare2Share and Winterjam. Helped teach youth group and small groups, supervised outings and other activities and helped with budgeting.
Myself and a peer decided to create a Children's Ministry program because we couldn't afford to host Awana's. We set up rotations with craft time, snacks, lesson time, and music time. We did our own promotion and found volunteers to help with supervision.
