I began working in a full service restaurant in 1995 and started as a hostess and was soon promoted to sever and then soon promoted to manager. I left the Industry the year following the birth of my first child because it was a priority for my spouse and I for one of us to be the primary person caring for our child. We ended up with four children and I ran a daycare for 20 years while they were all growing up to ensure I was involved in their daily lives. Although I left the industry, I never lost the affection I have always had for hospitality and entertaining, whether I was dining at a new restaurant that had come to town or having family and friends over for great food and cocktails. I love the energy that is present when people come together to share a meal and a little time together. I have been to many wine and food tastings and have an intermediate level of knowledge of food pairing. and our family loves to cook and learn new recipes and to gather and enjoy each other's company.
My four children are all almost grown now and I'm excited to venture back into the Industry I started in when I began. I believe the experience and knowledge I have gained through interaction with parents in the childcare, pet owners from my pet concierge business as well as customers I've served through personal shopping and food delivery will prove as an asset.
Travel to pet owners residence, feed and walk pets (usually dogs but have cared for a variety of animals)
typically three times a day, fulfill any special requests such as giving medicine, or extra playtime with pet, checking mail, bringing in packages or letting in cleaning or maintenance service people etc. Taking photos of and giving reports on the pets progress while the owners are away to ease any worries that the pet is in good hands.
