I had to pick up the elementary first at 6:00 a.m, and take the students to their schools Afterwards I had to pick up the Middle and High School students to take them to the their school.
At 2:00 p.m. I picked up the elementary students from school, and I pick up the Middle and High School students afterwards.
Ensured that all students were safely seated before departing for the destination.
Greeted and welcomed passengers as they boarded the school bus.
Performed pre-trip inspections on the bus to ensure it was in safe working order.
Followed designated routes, stopping at designated locations, and operating equipment such as wheelchair lifts.
Inspected safety features of vehicle such as lights, brakes, steering, and emergency exits.
Maintained records regarding daily attendance, student behavior issues, or other pertinent information.
Assisted special needs students with physical activities such as walking or transferring from wheelchairs onto the bus seat.
Provided guidance and support to students while traveling to their destinations.
Monitored student progress during trips to ensure safety and security of all passengers.
Assisted special needs students with personal care tasks when necessary such as toileting or eating meals during transit times.
Provided close supervision of special needs students to ensure safe travel environment for them and other passengers.
Communicated regularly with teachers, administrators, parents and guardians, therapists and other staff members involved in a student's care plan.
Ensured that all safety regulations were followed throughout each trip including proper loading and unloading procedures.
Responded quickly and appropriately in case of an emergency situation on board the school bus.
Completed required paperwork accurately and submitted it promptly according to established guidelines.
Operated motorized ramps and lifts to assist special needs students.
