Accomplishments

  • I have accomplished a lot professionally as well as personally. Within the past few years placing my sister in a group home where she needed 24/7 care and someone to watch her. She was diagnosed with schizophrenia which caused her to wander in the middle of the night without us knowing. There was a lot of worry whether she would come back alright or if at all. I think this one event taught me more empathy and compassion than I could have ever imagined. In addition I learned that sometimes, is another person's presence without words. Simply having someone to listen to is sometimes more than sufficient. I maintain contact with my sister today.
  • My mother passed away in August of 2021 and for the years she was here while taking care of my sister before the group home I cleaned for her and my sister along with food preparation, putting them both in their apartments safe at night time and taking out all the trash all the while holding onto my own job and doing this over day after day and night after night until my mom passed away and my sister was somewhere safe.
  • My best accomplishments will of course always be my children and grandchildren which I try to spend as much time with as I possibly can. Also my life long partner of 30 years, He is also very important to me as well.
