My role as a mentor at LeapCoderz went beyond traditional teaching. It involved inspiring young minds, fostering a passion for robotics and coding, and creating a positive and customer-centric learning environment. Through personalized guidance and hands-on projects, I contributed to the success of entry-level kids, preparing them for a future filled with technological possibilities. Not only was it technological it was personal experience in doing new things. It's important that the kids aren't doing the same thing every day. When it came to talking to different types of people such as my previous boss, managers, kids, and parents, I prioritized understanding their perspectives and addressed concerns with empathy and professionalism. My ability to connect with people of various backgrounds and diverse range of experiences, allowed me to create a dynamic learning environment, contributing not only to technical learning but also to the overall growth and success of the young minds under my mentorship at LeapCoderz.
Growing up my parents always put me into extracurricular activities so I could stay active and not sit around all day. The first sport I picked up was soccer, the most fun experience I've had in a sport. I would play in a youth recreational league for my township, South Brunswick. I wasn't too bad at the sport but was I never really that good either. My parents put me into swimming classes but I was always afraid of swimming because I had a fear of oceans and would always think I was going to drown, so my parents took me out. I only enjoy going into the pool with friends if we play volleyball because of how competitive it gets and how much fun it is. Basketball was the next sport I picked up after soccer it was something I wasn't even used to. I would sign up for the recreational team without even knowing the rules, but I enjoyed the sport more than Soccer. If there was one thing that I've learned from playing this sport is be confident in your plays you miss 100% of the shots you don't take and those two things have became a very important life lesson to me. Lifting weights is something I pride and take very seriously, I wanted to transform my body, as someone who didn't be confident growing up, the gym is where I found my safe place to be me and work on myself. Drawing is a small hobby I picked up in math class, one day I was sitting down and just looking at my paper and I just started to draw and at the end I realized this wasn't even bad.
