Responsible for taking auto loan application directly from borrower, analyzing credit and gathering all docs to qualify. Submitted to verifications department for document review. Created online profile with customer, then logged them in. Closed loan with borrower, and sold optional products such as gap, credit life, credit disability, and credit involuntary unemployment.
Underwrote and managed a pipeline of first mortgage loans. Analyzed credit, appraisals, title, income, assets, loan to value ratio, DTI ratio, and more. Issued final approval.
Took approved loans and communicated the loan approval by phone and email to the end, retail customer. Worked on the remaining conditions, or stips, with the customer, and cleared conditions along the way that came in. These varied from appraisals to title work, to viewing credit reports, to letters of explanation. Worked with the end customer and their sales team all the way to the clear to close.
Sold and approved auto, personal, and real estate loans. Closed those loans face to face with the end customer while selling and offering credit insurance and servicing the loan throughout its life. Recommended auto loan and personal loan approvals to branch manager if outside of my authority. This was done in a branch setting. Good customer service was a must. Also sold, through outside sales, promotional sales financing products (0% financing) to merchants who used it to finance their products to the end customer.
Called on mortgage brokers and visited brokers (inside and outside) to present our mortgage product in order to generate more business for the company. Sold mortgage products and acted as first point of contact to the mortgage broker. Signed up 11 new accounts in what was a declining market at the time.
