  • TRANSPORTATION AND COMMUNICATION:
  • Training as a Supervisor included training new and experienced miners on the aspects of communication and transportation. I have instructed miners & had taught classes on the check in and out system, transportation signals & controls, transportation of high explosives and danger, blasting signals on the surface and underground, Instructed miners on tracking the movement of miners by the ERP.
  • SELF-RESCUE AND RESPIRATORY DEVICES:
  • Training as a supervisor included instructing new and experienced miners on the proper donning procedures and I have taught classes that include transferring from the Ocenco M-20 to the Ocenco EBA 6.5 and CSE SR100. And also trained miners on the location of the S.C.S.R. storage cache. And how to properly use a BG-4 for use in a Mine Rescue event.
  • MANDATORY HEALTH AND SAFETY STANDARDS:
  • As a supervisor when training on this topic, I instructed new and experienced miners in the Health and Safety aspects pertaining to Noise and proper ways of using hearing protection.
  • Proper ways for use for dust protection & to keep all dust sprays clean, and working properly, dirt. The equipment hazards of assigned tasks.
  • MINE MAPS, ESAPEWAY, EMERGENCY EVALUATION:

When training new and experienced miners, I have taught class on ERP plan, Firefighting, and Evacuation plan. I have conducted numerous firefighting and escapeway drills. I have instructed miners on the importance of staying together and to identify the intake and secondary escapeways, and how to use the escapeway map and markers. And the proper way to use a lifeline & Tethers.

  • ROOF CONTROL PLANS:

When I train new and experienced miners on the Roof Control Plan, I instruct them on the aspects of the mine roof and to always keep a watch out for danger of the roof and ribs at all times, and to keep a check on all the conditions around them, I have conducted & taught numerous safety meeting on the procedures outlined in the mine roof control plan and the ground control plan on the surface about highwall inspection, and the dangers of loose rocks, slips, roadway and berms.

  • VENTILATION PLANS:

When training new and experienced miners annually on the mine ventilation plan, I have instructed miners on the changes to the ventilation plan, and procedures.

  • CLEANING AND ROCKDUSTING:

I have instructed & taught classes to new and experienced miners on the proper cleaning and rock dusting procedures. I have instructed miner on the importance of keeping the mine free of accumulations of hazardous materials and keeping the mines well rock dusted.
