Summary

Started career by installing fireplaces, telephone line and equipment repair and retail management.

At the age of 35 , quit retail to go into the trades. Took a multitude of factory supplied classes, obtained EPA Certification from KCC and delved into the world of HVAC and refrigeration.

Worked 3 years in residential and light commercial as a well versed service technician. I was then approached by Morse Brothers Sheet Metal looking to expand their commercial/industrial service department. I was soon promoted to Service Manager and developed a 3 man service department into 10+ service technicians on the road.

Became a licensed mechanical contractor with classifications 1,2,3,4,6,8 endorsements

Was fortunate to get experience in heavy HVAC projects, Chillers, Environmental Test Chambers, Metrology Lab units, 50,000 sg ft refrigeration installs and many other applications.

At 58 1/2 I retired from CSE Morse. A few months after retirement I was contacted the City of Battle Creek to become the mechanical inspector.
