• Transition from large-scale centralized regions to distributed environments.
• Deployment in third-party zero-trust data centers, ensuring Alibaba Cloud products and cloud management system are deployable Anywhere.

Technical Challenges Resolved:

• Redesigned cloud control plane, resource pooling, fault isolation, scheduling, and availability zone recovery.
• Enhanced security architecture to enable zero-trust deployments with robust communication, security gateways, and intrusion protection.
• Developed DragonBox to achieve compatibility between Alibaba Cloud hardware systems and user server infrastructures, enabling unified management of bare metal and container instances.
