PhD Candidate in Nutritional Biology with over 13 years of experience in food science and public health nutrition. I have successfully led numerous research projects, including national nutrition and micronutrient surveys in Ethiopia, shaping public health policies and pioneering innovative strategies such as double-fortified salt to combat neural tube defects. My achievements include publishing impactful research, delivering a Presidential Talk at the American Society for Nutrition (ASN), presenting at the Micronutrient Forum, and securing grants through international collaborations. I have developed Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) and implemented laboratory methods for food and biomarker analysis, ensuring precision and reliability. Additionally, I mentor postgraduate students, deliver training, guest lecture, and manage the Nutrition Nerd Academy YouTube channel, where I simplify nutritional biochemistry to promote public health awareness, empower learners, and support capacity building through digital outreach.
