  • I became an above knee amputee during my deployment to Afghaninstan at the age of 19, in 2010. I used a traditional socket and liner system for 9 years and was in the highest classification of ambulatory users (K4). Because of my high level abilities as an amputee, I as selected to be part of a two hundred person trial carried out by the Department of Defense in order to gain FDA approval of the cutting edge prosthetic advancement known as osseointegration.
