At Dick's Sporting Goods, I began my career as a part-time cashier as a high school student. Management quickly realized I possessed skills beyond being a cashier, and I was moved to the outdoor section of the store as a floor associate, after a year or so, I was offered to become a lead, and have keys to the store, becoming the first part-timer in the history of our district to ever become a keyholder with the company. As a keyholder and lead, I use my customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for the customer. I also oversee the employees, making sure they stay on task, or finding something that they can accomplish if they have no tasks. I help ensure a comfortable work environment for my co-workers, and am always there if they need someone to address concerns with. I make sure to keep the store organized, and work to improve the visuals of displays around the store, upsell product to customers, and help customers find product that will fit and/or exceed their needs. I am a strong leader and problem-solver, and dedicated to the success of the store as a whole.
