While in high school I started with learning how to have job experience by running a lawn care business to buy my first vehicle. After 4 years of hard work and dedication I was successfully able to purchase my first vehicle. After high school I then applied for Toms LLC. Since December of 2022 I have been with that same company. Through both jobs I have learned alot of skills and traits. Some traits include time management, supervisory skills, and problem solving. The more I progress my way through the current company I work for I learn more skills and traits to work with.

- I have been with Toms LLC for a little over 2 years. While I've been with the company I have achieved all of the required certifications and classes. These include Virginia hazmat awareness and operations, emergency vehicle operations, and extrication awareness and operations. Additionally I have achieved several other classes such as my CDL-B and my control room operations class which will lead to future opportunities in the company. Although I'm not a crew lead, the crew I've been assigned to for a little over 2 years has allowed me to gain knowledge and some supervisory experience. The gaining of supervisory experience is from the fact that I have the 2nd highest amount of seniority out of the crew other than the crew lead. This means when the crew lead is out, I have to be able to fill his position and I'm expected to know every aspect of his job.

- During high school I conducted a self employed lawn care business. The lawn care business taught me alot about dealing with the public. While operating this business, the jobs required alot of attention to detail due to if the job wasn't correct there was no getting paid. I conducted lawn care for right at 4 years, this allowed me to purchase my first vehicle. This showed me the value of everything I have worked hard to achieve.

- Since 2019, I have been volunteered in the fire service. In September of 2019, I joined Montcalm volunteer fire department where I was a junior member from the age of 16-18. In September of 2021 I left Montcalm volunteer fire department and joined Green Valley- Glenwood volunteer fire department. I have been with Green Valley for going on 4 years now. The volunteer fire service has gave me alot of skills and traits that go along with my current place of employment. These include time management, attention to detail, and supervisory experience. The supervisory experience comes from having to over see anyone under me along with the members along side of me while conducting incidents. Throughout the years I have gained several certifications and classes that apply to my current place of employment, even though they are through a different state. The certifications are still very beneficial due to it furthers my training and ability to control an incident.
