One of my proudest achievements was being named Paraprofessional of the Year for the Entire School District in 2024. That recognition was a result of my commitment to creating a supportive and effective learning environment for students, as well as my ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families. It showed me that dedication, consistency, and genuine care make a real difference in the lives of others.
Another achievement I’m proud of is the success I’ve had in program coordination and child development. I’ve led initiatives that improved classroom engagement, streamlined communication between departments, and supported children with diverse learning needs. I’ve also helped train and mentor newer staff members, which strengthened my leadership and organizational skills.
One of my most significant accomplishments was being honored as Paraprofessional of the Year for the entire La Joya ISD in 2024. That recognition meant a great deal to me because it reflected not just my dedication, but the positive impact I made across the district through my work with students, teachers, and families.
Throughout my career, I’ve taken on leadership roles in both education and community-based programs. As a Program Manager for the Food & Friends At-Risk Program, I successfully managed operations, ensured compliance, and created a supportive, safe environment for children. This required strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to lead a team under pressure—all of which I consistently delivered.
Another accomplishment I’m proud of is my ability to build trust with students and staff, stepping in to take over classrooms when needed and maintaining consistency and structure, even during unexpected challenges. My bilingual skills, CPR/First Aid certification, and my natural ability to lead with empathy have allowed me to make a meaningful difference in every role I’ve held.
