  • Responsible for planning and establishing shipping schedules, assignments, and sequences to meet shipping goals. Responsible for processing tickets to be shipped, maintaining all shipping documentation.
  • Ability to issue and trace production orders, ensuring that required material is pulled.
  • Pull work tickets off printer, highlight important information, include instructions regarding the sequence of orders (items/batches) to be pulled, and assign tickets to order pickers.
  • Analysis of customer orders with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
  • Knowledge of work orders, shipping schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current shipping estimates and outputs.
  • Monitor material shortages and other unresolved issues and close the loop with Materials/Sales/Manufacturing/Quality on all open issues delaying shipment and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with the rest of the manufacturing and quality assurance team to support schedules, shipping and planning on a day-to-day basis.
  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve safety, shipping methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency
  • Adhere to scheduling and while maintaining knowledge of available material for shipping.
  • Print shipping and UCC labels for all shipments.
  • For designated shipments-contacts customer with routing information (i.e., pallet count, weight-this function includes electronic routing PO request).
  • Confirm load numbers, complete documentation in Oracle.
  • Complete and attach bills of lading to purchase orders for product being picked up.
  • Process packing slips for shipments.
  • Request shipping supplies (paper, seals, labels, etc.…)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
