Responsible for planning and establishing shipping schedules, assignments, and sequences to meet shipping goals. Responsible for processing tickets to be shipped, maintaining all shipping documentation.
Ability to issue and trace production orders, ensuring that required material is pulled.
Pull work tickets off printer, highlight important information, include instructions regarding the sequence of orders (items/batches) to be pulled, and assign tickets to order pickers.
Analysis of customer orders with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
Knowledge of work orders, shipping schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current shipping estimates and outputs.
Monitor material shortages and other unresolved issues and close the loop with Materials/Sales/Manufacturing/Quality on all open issues delaying shipment and ensuring on-time delivery.
