Blayde M Miller

Longview,WA

Summary

I am a very qualified sleep tech with almost 7 years of experience; with some of the most medically challenged patient we see in the sleep field. I started my work with Legacy Health Systems at Mt. Hood Legacy where I did my internship. I made quick advancements while at Mt. Hood eager to learn all that I could to improve as a sleep tech. My first year working as a sleep tech I had to work a very challenging schedule that included days and nights. I would work Sunday night with patients and then I would work Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday day shift were I learned how to setup and score HST's and score and upload sleep studies. I also was involved in Education at Mt. Hood Legacy Cardiac REHAB, where I would educated the cardiac patients on what Obstructive Sleep Apnea is, its health concerns and its correlation to heart health. This was done in an effort to encourage patients that have had a heart related emergency to get a sleep study if they haven't already. Upon my supervisor leaving her position I was asked to be the Interim Supervisor until a Supervisor was found as my clinical years of experience kept me from being qualified for the position. When an opening came available at Legacy Good Sam with an opportunity to work with my wife I took it and have worked at Good Sam since. I look forward to bringing my years of experience to Peace Health
