I am Blerta Blakaj, an Anthropology graduate student at Hunter College with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Women and Gender studies. While I have a wide array of interests in these fields, I am primarily focused on Cultural Anthropology, Labor, Migration & Globalization. My academic and career interests are driven by my compassion for people and my thirst for knowledge.
●Worked actively to attract citizens in visiting various events and projects

●Lead discussions on feminism that was live featured in a local radio channel.
● Actively taking part in organized efforts to clean the city of Peja as well as the region of Rugova National Parks, picking up garbage and classifying it for recycling.
●Raising awareness on the protection and conservation of the city’s biodiversity and wildlife.
● Gathering information about and organizing the ways in which resources were spread among people in need.
●Spreading informative flyers in informing the availability of the working space for recreative use with the purpose of creating a safe space for disadvantaged children and youth .
