• RN role to assigned nursing homes.
• Pass scheduled and PRN medications to geriatric patients in long term care.
• Ensure all diets are as ordered,ie Diabetic and low sodium diets.
• Dress wounds as ordered.
• Record all care in electronic charts.
• Order prescribed daily medications.
• Give updates to family on their loved ones.
• Provide safety for patient's,using protocols and policies.
• Give reports to staff taking care like doctors and physiotherapists .
• Referring patients to hospitals for acute illnesses

Admission of patients to the assigned med/Surg unit.

Orient patient on the unit ,admission and discharge policies.

Assess Patient on admission for baseline observations.

Administer ordered medicine to patients on specified times.

Advocate for patient's needs to the MD present.

Ensure patient safety ,making sure they have protective clothing and are ina safe environment.

Ensure patients receive prescribed diets and tolerate,watching for allergies.

Putting IV access on patients.

Administering prescribed Intravenous fluids to patients as ordered.

Record all patient care rendered.

Monitor progress of patients' care and improvement.

Refer patients to supportive resource givers.

Discharge patients,making sure they have all resiurces and medications they need as out patients.

Provide patient and family education on their diagnosis and preventive methods.

Assess labs taken on patients and follow up management of results.

Assess patients response to medication given.

Give report to taking over care RN ,to Doctors or any staff taking over care from me.

Monitor vital signs and inform doctors if need arises.

Dress wounds as ordered.
