Provide support and lead a team of 3 Network expansion engineers working across 10 markets that comprise the AT&T Midwest footprint and the states of DE, MD, NJ, PA and VA.
Provide oversight in network inventory required for network expansion installs.
Help fine tune SOP for RFP, install bid collection, bid award and purchase order creation.
Help develop required templates in Salesforce for tracking and install status reporting.
Lead visits to meet with individual market teams to assess effectiveness and helps resolve any issues.
- Assist and direct large multi-state projects and report accordingly.
- Work with installation vendors and keep them on task.
- Provide technical leadership in internal and vendor meetings.
- Help train departments on new system enhancements and project and task tracking.
- Work between teams to ensure projects are on task and meets completion dates.
- Overseen various system designs and changes in network architecture and coordinate with various internal teams to ensure efficient completion of changes.
- Workedin a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as Outside Plant (OSP), Inside Plant (ISP), Sales, and Operations, as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
Develop and establish equipment layout for new and expansion points of presence.
Develop SOP for install and configuration of network devices.
Develop audit procedures for post install and periodic maintenance of installed devices.
Provide field support for core network devices .
Install and configure Accedian, Cigna, Cyan, Fujitsu and Juniper network equipment.
Perform fiber characterization tests as required.
Troubleshoot and resolve network backbone connections
issues /failures.
Perform make ready work by installing network racks, cabinets, power and supporting ironwork.
