  • Since May 2024, I have been serving in the Town Center Stark Diabetes Department, which includes podiatry, endocrinology, and allergy services. My responsibilities encompass all fundamental PSS tasks, including pre-registration, obtaining referrals, creating estimates, providing financial counseling, managing work queues, and maintaining provider schedule templates. I serve as the Lead for the Allergy and Immunology Department. In this role, I handle pre-registrations for all allergy appointments, process referrals, and manage clinical tasks. Additionally, I coordinate the procurement of all new patient pre-service authorizations and estimates for various immunology tests and injections prior to patient visits at both the League City and Galveston locations. I utilize over 15 provider portals to obtain accurate benefits information, authorizations, and patient estimates in real time for testing and injections prior to appointments. This enables providers to deliver more efficient and informed treatment plans from the first visit, including patient counseling on financial responsibilities and financial programs offered at UTMB. Additionally, I assist with main registration check-in duties, checking in patients across more than 15 specialties, ensuring all necessary tasks are completed promptly, keeping patients informed about any delays, and supporting smooth clinic operations.
