Although long term care was a career choice, I am open to a career change. Would like to explore any options that may come to in this direction.
As Social Service Designee some duties included assisting with developing care plan needs of the residents based on health status and discharge plan. Assisted with Medicaid process. Schedule and attended care conference. Scheduled and assisted with clinics for dental, vision, and auditory needs.
As Human Resources completed post hire documentation of employees. This include finger print records, tax forms, immigration, health records, license verification.
Staff Development: Scheduled ,presented , and maintained on going in-services as required by state and federal agencies.
Staff Nurse providing routine nursing care as well as observing for acute health issues. Administered medications, dressing changes, assisted with returning residents to the highest functioning level as they were able, documentation of all of these issues.
Nurse Aide Supervisor after completing State mandated Train the Trainer. Assisted with hiring training and scheduling nurse aides to work in that facility.
Staff Nurse provided routine nursing care and other duties as requested by the DON.
