I was involved in scouting through my teenage years. Learned to be a team player setting up and tearing down campsites, building fires, cooking outdoors. I worked at a scout camp during the summers, learning to row boats, canoeing, shooting rifles, working in a camp kitchen and life guarding at a pool. With the encouragement from my parents I was able to gain the rank of Eagle Scout. The many skills learned have been extremely useful throughout my life.
