I commenced my work experience in the scaffolding industry in 1998, working for Albany Formwork and Scaffolding in New Zealand. In my five-year employment, I gained an extensive knowledge of the scaffolding industry with a basic introduction to Rigging and Dogging requirements and skills. I also completed a year of employment as a Scaffolder/Rigger in Vancouver, Canada with Matakana Staging and Events. This role was largely unsupervised and involved staging and seating throughout Canada and North American venues. I have now worked in three different countries and have a good awareness of cultural diversity.
I wish to gain further experience in the mining, minerals processing, energy or other resources industries. By gaining a diverse range of experience, I can work towards my goal of obtaining a position on an oil rig in a role of high responsibility and leadership.
