Summary

I am a detail-oriented worker with reliable work ethic and dedication to comprehensive task completion on strict budgets and timelines. Proficient in inventory management, project planning and team collaboration. I have worked with trucks and equipment as long as I have been old enough to work. I have had a CDL since the age of eighteen and have driven dump trucks and operated equipment such as backhoes, skid loaders front end loaders, and tractors for my fathers business and others for eighteen plus years. I grew up on a farm tending to livestock, running and maintaining equipment for different reasons such as raking and baling hay, operating chainsaws, and power tools. I work well with others and I am open to learning new things and I learn very quickly. I worked for the Union Pacific railroad for ten years and have an excellent background in safety and have been trained on safety policies and techniques and things to look for such as red zones and pinch points, and how to conduct proper lock out tag out procedures. My reason for leaving such a good job after putting in that much time was solely because of the birth of my now five year old daughter Ryan. The traveling aspect that the Railroad job required of me suddenly didn't seem as important to me as being home with my family so luckily i was able to apply for the job at CVR Energy and was awarded the position. During those three years of employment with that company I learned even more about safety policies and the procedures put in place and things to be aware of to minimize risk and avoid safety incidents. Although that job was a very good one as far as pay and benefits the schedule required for employment hours wasn't a fit for my family and myself. In May of 2024 i decided to leave that job and start my own business. I am currently self employed and own and operate a dump truck business. With the ups and downs that come with being a small business owner I have decided that if the opportunity to apply for a job with a company such as yours that offers structure, benefits, and retirement options was to arise that i would at least try to apply for the position. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to be a part of your team and would be eager and ready to learn a new skill set!
