  • My responsibility was to scribe pertinent data into the EHR during the exam. The data that I collected was the medical and ocular history, chief complaint, visual field results, VA's, cover test results, eye movements, refraction results, IOP, pharmaceutical agents used, and plans for treatment.
  • I will return to Eyes of Woodland in the Summer of 2024 as a summer employee
  • This experience has inspired me to apply to Optometry school and pursue residency training.

Research

Lab assistant in genomics and nematology, studying infectious diseases in tarantulas. Currently we are investigating parasitic nematode infections that tarantulas get . More specifically, we are investigating the mode of transmission, as it is not fully understood. Additionally,  next month we will begin a new project where we will be sequencing the genomes of different nematodes imported from Iran.
