During this time I became a vital team member providing effective technical trouble shooting assistance to the fleet while deploying over 40 days and expending over 300 man - hours on critical repairs. Most notably while deployed to the Coast Guard Cutter Pompano , my technical and mechanical acumen were vital to the repairs of the engine bed rails allowing for a successful engine alignment to be acquired. Theses timely repairs allowed CGC Pompano to continue operations bolstering District Eights ability to meet operational commitments. Assigned to Coast Guard Cutter Vigorous from June 2015 to May 2018. I conducted engineering maintenanance and repair during nine counter drug and law enforcement patrols that resulted in the interdiction of 6,892 Kilograms of cocaine, 22 suspected smugglers, and 39 migrants. During a major drydock and two dockside availabilities, I supported contracted repair and replacement of 3.2 million dollars of structural elements and shipboard machinery. I conducted numerous cutter and aviation fuel transfers and supported over 1,000 flight evolutions leading to the certification of the flight deck teams for two Coast Guard Helo Standardization inspections. Trained over 50 members in various engineering watch stations. Led five emergency repairs to major machinery including the ships elctrical generator that left the ship disabled in a foreign port for nine days.

Assigned to Maritime Force Protection Unit Kings Bay I qualified as Tactical boat engineer , Remote Operated Small Arms Mount gunner. I successfully completed more than 220 escort missions, accumulating over 1100 hours underway protecting the Navy Nuclear Ballistic Missile Submarine Fleet. Integral part of the successful completion of the units first Standardization inspection resulting in a near flawless inspection earning the unit coveted Sumner I. Kimball award for readiness. Led efforts to allocate over 40k dollars from year end funding to purchase
new Utility Vehicles which were used to transport personnel ans weapons during mission preparations. I dedicated much off my off time to the youth soccer program for multiple age groups ensuring there was sufficient coaching to have enough teams for children to sign up for.
