As a surgical technologist I gathered supplies and surgical instruments, set up sterile field, make sure that everyone who scrubs in remains sterile and assist in surgery by handing doctors instruments and assisting in anyway necessary. I have scrubbed in on most procedures including GI surgeries, GYN, and for the past few years was on an orthopedic team where the doctor performed total knee and hip replacements, ORIF's, shoulder cuff surgeries, etc.
