I have worked in the world of Millworking for almost ten years which has allowed to me see all sides of the industry. Most of my daily tasks involve talking with general contractors on jobs, chasing new clients and handling bids.
My day to day quoting usually involves exterior fiberglass doors, interior wood prehungs, hollow metal doors & frames, hardware, specialty trim work, appliances, and windows. I use some software programs like Planswift, E-mullion and Excel to help me in my quoting process along with any quoting tools from different suppliers. I also collaborated with coworkers and managers on setting up a install team for our company which I also put a special bid package together for when bidding jobs that are local.
