  • As a team lead for the revenue cycle management team I oversaw 3 billing specialists
  • Each billing specialist managed between 1 and 4 accounts (around 100 to 150 clients per organization) and was responsible for billing, payment posting, denials, and AR management
  • In January 2020 the company began restructuring
  • I was offered the opportunity to help define a new department called client relations
  • Our objective was to onboard new accounts
  • We then managed the entire revenue cycle for them until they were ready to be passed on to our specialists in each department (billing, denials, and AR management), as well as handling any special projects that were defined in their contract
  • Another element of our department was consultation and in person training (travel) and compiling training materials for the company to provide to organizations for purchase

  • In December of 2018 I was scouted by the owner of my company’s third party biller through our HR rep
  • I was offered an opportunity to interview with their company
  • Shortly thereafter they presented me with another opportunity to interview with one of their previous directors at a company called Gersh Academy
  • I accepted the position with Gersh Academy with the intention of making a smart and strategic career move at a place where I could continue to learn, grow, and thrive
  • My supervisor left after 3 months and several of her responsibilities fell to me
  • Since then I have taken on both of my own roles in addition to pieces of the Director of ABA Revenue Cycle Management and Director of Contracts and Policy

  • I accepted the billing position for our ABA program in September 2017 and have been striving to learn and build as much as possible ever since
  • I have had so many amazing opportunities to learn and grow while learning how to bill for ABA and have been given many opportunities on the side to learn about business and ABA in general, all to my enormous benefit

  • I started working with people with developmental disabilities at the age of 18 and quickly discovered my passion for helping others
  • While working in residential services I got my first taste of ABA while running behavior support plans and self-help goals
  • During that time, I accepted my first position as a manager in a home that was in desperate need of a turn around
  • After getting things up to par and running smoothly I was asked to continue managing that home but to also go into another, clean it up, and train a new manager to run it correctly
  • I did this multiple times during my years at Chrysalis, managing a total of 10 of their homes across Weber and Davis counties and two of their homes in Park City
