Educate parents, foster parents, grandparents, ect. on patient care and how to do first baths on newborn babies.
Assist Nurses in patient care, such as vitals/feeding.
Prepare bottles in the Milk lab, mixing with fortifiers.
Encourage positive coping skills for families.
Encourage hand hygiene in the Hospital setting.
Help create crafts keepsakes of the babies while they are in the NICU.
Document patient status through electronic charting.
