This Asphalt Terminal is a 165 truck/day capacity facility, that operates 24hrs a day, 365 days per year, averaging $1,000,000 in sales per day.
Responsible for training and managing five direct reports to provide 24/7 supervision of drivers loading/offload HazMat and insure proper billing/documentation in compliance of CFR 49 regulations.
Insured driver compliance with plant safety regulations and loading procedures, and all Federal and State Hazmat regulations.
Insured Terminal compliance with all DOT, RCRA and state Hazmat regulations and reporting requirements.
Coordinated between Operations (production) and sales to manage allocation of product to customers.
Coordinated with Operations to insure inbound Hazmat used in production was correct and was delivered to the proper location.
Commanded initial response to spills and incidents in the Asphalt Terminal and activation of the refinery's Emergency Response Team as needed.

In partnership with Suncor's Truck Product Movement Manager, oversaw two upgrades to the Refinery's Hazmat billing system that reduced improper/incorrect production of Bills of Lading to negligible levels. These same upgrades provided an additional savings in excess of $50K per year by allowing electronic storage of generated Hazmat BOLs in compliance with federal regulations.
