Summary

I currently hold a Millwright foreman position. I successfully manage manpower to complete projects with tight deadlines. I am comfortable with last minute changes that can occur with the scope of work. I have the ability to adjust our plans to make those tasks at hand easier and more efficient. I'm a quick confident learner. A big part of the job responsibilities are to make sure workers are safe and in compliance with the site-specific regulations at job sites. A lot of the work I have performed was at Metallus steel. In 2012 I assisted in the construction of the IFL at the Metallus Gambrinus plant for 3 months. In 2013 we assisted in building the vertical Caster at the Metallus Faircrest plant. There we spent 10 months working on installation, rigging, alignment, and many other various tasks with multiple trades to accomplish the project. To this day we still go back on a regular basis to make repairs and perform preventable maintenance tasks.

Accomplishments

  • When erecting the vertical caster at Metallus we worked along side a variety of trades to get the job completed efficiently and on time. We had Millwrights, Ironworkers, Electricians, Carpenters, laborers, and Pipe fitters working in a small area together. Making sure everyone was working efficiently, utilizing their time, and not standing around waiting on each other was a huge challenge that we were able to overcome.
  • When working with a customer, communication with them is an asset of mine. The ability to give them peace of mind by updating them on how the job is going, if extra parts or materials are needed, and if we are maintaining the timeline is a skill im am proud of.
