Becoming a Central Service technician has opened countless doors for opportunity and growth in my life. I never saw this as a career path; but in discovering new skills and passions I have come to enjoy providing quality service to patients and healthcare facilities. I learned about healthcare as well as the essential responsibilities that healthcare workers provide for society. I wish to continue this passion for the years to come by traveling to different healthcare facilities to gather a larger perspective on Central Service. Wellspan Hospital was my first assignment as a traveling CSP technician. There, I learned different methods and systems that exist in the Sterile Processing field. I learned how to adapt to a different work environment which ultimately developed my skills as a technician. I was originally assigned to work thirteen weeks for this contract contract but the facility asked me to extend my contract for another 13 weeks due to my performance.
