Non-Clinical Duties

  • Utilization review and case management experience in per-diem/non-per diem, HMO/PPO federally funded financial service classes, which also includes regular chart audits to ensure CMS compliance.
  • Write letters of medical necessity or appeal letters requesting insurance approval for various therapeutic services.
  • Management of all support staff such as doctoral PT students, Physical Therapist Assistant, physical therapy technician, or patient service specialist.
  • Onboard recruiting team member for interviewing and hiring new employee’s.
  • Attendance of weekly and monthly meetings to ensure quality assurance and service plant projects and supplies are maintained accordingly.

Clinical Duties

  • Examine, evaluate, and diagnose, impairments in order to establish cost effective plans of care in order to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Establish in documentation medical necessity of proposed services.
  • Communicate and coordinate care with patient’s families and other disciplines of medicine such as, but not limited too, medical physicians, nurses, nurse managers, home health physical therapists, athletic trainers, worker’s compensation case managers/adjusters, chiropractors, occupational therapists, massage therapists, and personal trainers.
  • Clinical coordinator for delivery of dry needling services.
  • Patient caseload management ranges from a volume of 10-25 patients per day.
