Stripped down product or piece that was brought in to be prepared for paint or powder coat, labeled each part or piece removed for identification for re assembly, Removed coating or rust with varies methods Flap disc Air scaler an or media blaster (sand bead or walnut hulls) once coating or rust was removed the item would then be taken to an area blown free of dust an debris, coated with a metal sealant to assure clean free of debris an maximum adhesion, from there it would then be sprayed with primer, rubberized undercoating or whatever customer choose to protect the surface with, reassembled an on Occasion not reassembled depending on customers request if the product would be receiving paint I'd then move forward with coating the product, each job was different due to request by their clients my day to day duties varied typically if items received paints or primer I sprayed the coating.
Tear down vehicles, re hang body panels tape off vehicles prep for paint, prime body panels, paint and or clear panels re assemble an water an wind test vehicles before delivery of the vehicle, this position was 95% of vehicles owned by Used car dealers
In the Body shop I spent a brief period of time re assembling automotive interiors on 85% of the vehicles leaving the shop, I then transferred over to paint an prep where I would sand, tape off an prime every vehicle heading into the paint booth once the vehicle left the paint booth I would then wet sand and polish the vehicle before it left the paint area an back over to be re assembled an delivered back to the owner, I then transferred into the Parts Department an Took on varies roles ran the shipping Department routed 3 in town delivery trucks an 5 out of town delivery routes spanning out around 300 miles in any direction for daily delivers to independent shops from there I moved to Retail Parts sales, Wholesale Parts sales, I spent a brief period of time at the Back Parts counter sales as well as Body shop parts the back counter an Body shop counter was all internal parts sales to the service an body shop,
