Work History

Assembler

U.S. Door Equipment Corp.
06.2022 - Current
  • I would assemble elevator door opening mechanisms using hand tools ranging from screw drivers and handheld drills. I would attach motors and belt to specific tolerances. I would also connect the door mechanism to the computer to run tests when complete. I would then inspect for visual defects. Then package for shipping.

Press Operator

METALLON INC
04.2015 - 10.2019
  • As a Press Operator I would perform start up duties including but not limited to change overs, checking fluid levels oiling if needed, and filing or changing welding tips. I would then do a first piece inspection with calipers, micrometers, height indicators, flatness indicators, pressure testing, and peel tests to ensure proper bonding through resistance welding and compare them measurements to blueprint specifications. A quality inspection is done every half hour throughout the day to ensure quality work.
  • Other responsibilities throughout the day are taking inventory of raw material and made parts, getting shipments ready by weigh counting sorted product, making shipping labels, wrapping product to be loaded onto the truck. Delivering raw material to be processed to my team in different stages along production line. At the end of the shift all data of the day's inspections and final amounts of good and rejected parts would be entered into our system. Other responsibilities over the last 3 years are loading and unloading various shipments from tubs of scrap metal, steel coils weighing up to 3000 lbs to industrial air compressor units, lathes, and CNC machines. A vital role in this position is checking to make sure the product that's being loaded or unloaded is not damaged and that it’s the same that’s on the shipping or receiving paperwork.

Machine Operator

NPI Medical
04.2011 - 02.2015
  • As a machine operator I would cycle the machine and remove molded parts for further inspection or packaging. Inspection was done with micrometers, microscopes, and calipers to blueprint specifications. Also assemble parts with a sonic welder and trim flash with a soldering tool. Also removed runners with CNC machines.
  • As a cell operator for the same company I would go around to employee run and self-running machines and collect made parts. I would then weigh count all parts and get them ready for final inspection. After final inspection I would move product to their locations in house or package for shipping by following packaging instructions for different parts. I would also take inventory on all parts in warehouse and out on the shop floor. I also covered for when the supervisor was absent making schedules and covering breaks.

Machine Operator

Stel ray
02.2011 - 04.2011
  • As a machine operator I would place inserts into a injection molding machine. Take the molded parts out inspect and package for shipping.
