Working as a Group Life Coordinator and a Correctional Officer, I have gained knowledge and confidence in the Corrections system/setting. I have gained knowledge in resolving problems in a high crisis situation and noticing change in human behavior that could lead to a dangerous situation. Corrections has also taught me the importance of being consistent and confident in decision making. While on this career path I have developed the ability work in a high crisis incident(s), verbal threats and physical threats. Growing up, I have always wanted to become a Police Officer and feel as if my work experience has prepared me to continue with this career path.
