During my time at Winthrop University, I gained valuable experience in the classroom and outside the classroom, mainly through internships where I was able to observe and assist with a variety of age groups, including Elementary and Middle School students. My main responsibilities during these internships involved helping the teacher with assigned readings, providing artistic guidance on student projects, and ultimately leading my lesson plans later in the school year. My main tasks were to aid the teacher in assisting students with assigned readings, offer my artistic advice on students' creative projects, and facilitate my lesson plans later in the school year.
During the internship with Winthrop University, I assisted and observe ESL students and students with disabilities to help them overcome their challenges.
During my internship at Winthrop University, I was introduced to classroom shadowing and working with older students.
