Work History

Working Leader

Pratt & Whitney
03.2024 - Current

The working leader position is challenging to say the least, but I have learned, and adapted to it quickly. I was given a complicated, multifaceted job with little training, and I jumped in with determination to increase production and mentor coworkers to be their best. Our team works well together, and as employees transition to other shifts or titles, I try to be the glue that holds it together. Since I have moved in to this position I have noticed increase in confidence, production, and helped drive utilization of resources available i.e. Andon, eWIR, 6S, CORE. I continue to learn and grow, as I hold myself accountable to be better tomorrow, than I was today.

Tasks and responsibilities I am proud of;

  • Led a team of 6+ production workers in meeting daily production targets and ensuring on-time delivery of products
  • Monitored production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and made necessary adjustments to maintain product integrity
  • Trained team members on operating machinery safely and efficiently, reducing the number of machine-related incidents
  • Mentored and coached team members to improve their technical skills and enhance overall performance

  • I have found myself to be a very capable CNC machine operator. For not having done anything like this before, I have excelled very quickly in my position of the company. I had received an excellence reward within only 6 months of employment. I am also 2 time employee of the month recipient. Fellow employees often come to me to troubleshoot an issue, or ask if I remember how to perform a certain task, and I am always glad to help. At this point I would consider myself highly proficient at maintaining and operating a CNC mill/turn 5 axis machines including all milling, turning, troubleshooting, offsets, heat compensations, set-ups, tool change/repair and many other factors with little, to no support.
