From first trying to be a infantryman in the marine corps, to completing a one year college program getting a certificate in Collision Repair Technology, spending three months in California and now working part time as a special needs counselor I could say I learned a lot over years such as hard work, able to find comfort in discomfort, being resiliant, punctual and above all being respectful. From these four different experiences, I found being a special needs counselor is the most rewarding due to me being able to teach the children different things throughout the day from homework, different perspectives, food and bathroom etiquette and manners. To being a special needs counselor it teaches me to always be positive and to be the best person I could possibly be. From being in stressful environments and being around all types of characters, I learned to be calm and resiliant which helps me to calm down any child that is misbehaving or a child that has been triggered. Overall I try to learn different things to further better myself and to learn or hone any skills which would help me, I make sure to learn from any mistakes and take accountability for any wrong doings so I can learn and strive to be a better worker.
