Accomplishments

I have been on one state side activation and one deployment in the Kansas Army National Guard. Early in my career I was activated to assist with the Lansing Correctional Facility during covid after they were dealing with about 80% of their staff being on quarantine and a large number of their inmates rioting due to living conditions. We assisted with the movement of inmates and staff from the old facility into the new facility as well as the clean up of the old facility. We also were needed for our presence to help keep the inmates from rioting again.

On the deployment I was stationed in Guantanamo Bay Cuba where I worked in QRF or quick reaction force. We were in charge of outer security for the detainment camps where we manned and maintained military vehicles, conducted patrols around our area of operations, and assisted with manning access control points for the AO. I worked a number of different positions while on the job working the different roles of Truck Commander, Driver, and gunner.
