• My duties as a LPN with ECU Physicians included checking in patients for doctors appointment by obtaining vital signs including BP, pulse, 02 saturation, temperature and weight and performing medication reconciliation.

• I also carried out orders and procedures ordered by the physician.

• Triaged telephone calls and would route the phone calls to the correct location.

• Called in medication prescriptions to the pharmacies per standing protocols.

• Perform many different point of care test including A1C, UA's and Lipid panels.

This was a temporary position with the State of NC

• My responsibilities as a Health Care Technician at Walter B. Jones were to maintain the safety of my patients while they undergo alcohol and drug detox.

• I worked closely with the Nursing staff.

• Checked roughly 22 patients vital signs included blood pressure, pulse, 02 saturation, temperature, respirations and FSBS on patients that were diabetic during my shift.

• I assisted in the admission process with obtaining baseline vitals including BAC, EKG's.

• 30 minutes rounds where completed on patients during shift.

• Worked with the nursing staff during medication pass to ensure the safety of the patient obtaining the medication.

• I assisted the nurses with the referral processing checking over referral packets and contacting referring providers to submit missing information.

I worked part-time in this role and 20 hours per work.
