Working in the insurance industry for many years, I have adapted and learned so much. This industry will always be evolving and I am ready for all of the changes to come. I am very driven and I absolutely love being able to grow with a company and help other to succeed as well. I have taught myself the importance of efficiency and multi-tasking to insure I can be successful in a fast paced environment.
At Kin Insurance, I wear many hats. My responsibilities start with meeting/exceeding sales and performance goals, along with being an insurance advisor to customers in a busy environment. Within this roll, I have also taken on a few "pilots" to help with the business as it grows. Currently, I am meeting with new hires on my team to listen to their calls and give feedback on ways to help them be successful at Kin Insurance as well as staying available to them for questions they may have. Kin Insurance is a fast growing company, so when changes are announced, I am accustomed to implementing them. On my last team, my manager had me "de-escalate" other agents calls, this was something I was especially good at. It is rewarding to turn a bad situation around. I also have had the responsibility of scheduling team building games and contest for weekly team huddles. This was especially rewarding, considering team bonds are very important within an agency. Insurance is a constantly evolving field, I stay up to date with the latest changes that happen within the company as well as the industry.
At AAA, I was in sales for the first 2 years. My job was to sell home, auto, umbrella, credit cards, and memberships. We were responsible for assessing our own risks and sold insurance in 5 states, Each state had it's own "guidelines" that we had to follow to insure we were writing clean business. My manager also had me plan company events monthly. This included charity events, team building, team outings as well as fundraisers, I was very active with upper management in building accurate policy guidelines and training new hires. Once I moved from sales, I was asked to join the retention team. On this team, we were responsible for mainly rewrites. At AAA, we wrote several carriers. If a carrier was to leave the state, or we canceled our contract with them, I would call out to the client and try and rewrite them to another company and cross sell to other benefits within the AAA membership.
At Progressive, I was licensed in all 50 states. I sold Home Insurance, Auto Insurance and Umbrella. This was a very high volume call center. I was a "Top Sales Agent" and participated in a competition called The Pinnacle where I placed in the top 100's out of 800 other agents. I worked hands on with the training department in creating slide shows to help with the quoting process and guideline navigation. These documents I created are still being used in training to this day. I was often sought out for questions in regards to underwriting risks, due to being very good with navigating the systems.
