When I started working on the tube mill I was at the bottom like everyone else. I worked my way up because of my eagerness to learn. I am a very determined person and I enjoy learning and solving problems. On the mill we had to work together to insure we were making quality parts at a fast rate in order to satisfy the customer. We all had to do our part of the job to get the parts made in a timely manner. The tubes we make are very specific in length, shape, and diameter. In order to make accurate and high quality tubes it took knowledge and skill.
My job as a tube mill operator consists of several different responsibilities, I am in charge of a crew and insuring that we run at a specified speed to make sure we produce parts at the rate needed. I have to make sure what we are producing is of good quality, and will satisfy the customer. When something goes wrong on the mill my crew and I have to determine where the machine malfunctioned or where the incorrect set up of the machine is, in order to find a solution and get the mill up and running. One of the biggest aspects of my job is to insure my crew is getting their part of the job done. I look out for when and if they make mistakes, that way we can fix the error and figure out a solution together.
At Z Brother Pizza I was a driver, cook and a shift lead. I ran swing shifts during our busy dinner hours when the store manager wasn't there. I made sure that customers were satisfied with the food they received and how they were serviced when in the restaurant. When closing, I made sure we all did our part in getting the store clean and ready for morning shift the next day. This included cleaning, restocking and leaving any notes or information that could assist them during their shift.
