  • The Lay Advocate is responsible for assisting the Attorney General and the staff of the office in providing general legal services to the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians (the "Tribe"), its department, agencies, commissions and businesses.
  • The Lay Advocate may be assigned to work in the following courts: Domestic Court, General Criminal Court, General Civil Court and Traffic Court. Additionally, the Lay Advocate may also be assigned other duties in the Attorney General's Office including liaison with the U.S. Attorney's Office.
  • In addition, this position requires a working knowledge of the Tribal, State, and Federal Law and Regulations. Research and writing skills are also required.

Petroleum Supply Specialist

  • Petroleum Supply Specialists are primarily responsible for supervising and managing the reception, storage and shipping of bulk or packaged petroleum-based products.
  • Some duties as a Petroleum Supply Specialist may include: Dispensing bulk fuels and water from storage and distribution facilities. I have the ability to troubleshoot deficiencies and repairs flight critical equipment including lifting devices, turbine powered generators, towing devices and auxiliary power units. I can perform trouble-shoots, repairs; services; performs modifications on, and operates powered ground support equipment such as AC and DC power generators, air compressors, blowers, heaters, portable lighting units, deicers and non-powered equipment to include work stands, jacks, ramps, tow-bars, etc.
  • I also hold 18 months of experience to identify trouble-shoots equipment and determine the extent of repairs as well as the parts required. The authorized level of maintenance includes troubleshooting, tune-ups and adjustments of internal combustion and turbine engines, fuel controls, carburetors, clutch linkage, brakes and other mechanical links that utilize common hand tools and a variety of test equipment.
