I worked in two main departments and helped teammates whenever needed. In the ICU, nurses handled all parts of critical in-patient care as well as simpler post operative orthopedic care. Triage and discharge nurses evaluated incoming patients to determine how urgent their condition was. They also performed initial exams and diagnostics, sometimes including sedated procedures, prepared medications, and made sure clients understood their discharge instructions.

I rotated through three primary operational departments and stepped in to assist

teammates whenever needed. In the ICU, nursing staff managed all aspects of critical

patient care, including assigning treatments when appropriate. Triage and discharge

nurses evaluated incoming patients to determine urgency, were responsible for initial

work ups and diagnostics including some sedated procedures, prepared medications,

and ensured that clients received clear and accurate discharge instructions. The ward

nurse provided care for non-critical patients, including those recovering from orthopedic

surgeries and other routine procedures while also backing up ER.

• Performed rotational duties across three core functional areas while providing additional support to colleagues as needed. ICU nursing staff were responsible for comprehensive patient care in the ICU, including delegating treatments as indicated. The work-up/procedural nursing team handled all venipuncture, in-house bloodwork, imaging, and sedated procedures. Triage and discharge nursing personnel assessed incoming patients, determining the level of urgency, and were responsible for managing medication preparation and ensuring proper discharge instructions. I primarily focused on advanced procedures and complex cases requiring continuous intervention, such as diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), post-operative complications, and ventilation management. Consistently conducted daily operational tasks, including cleaning, restocking, and equipment calibration, to maintain clinical workflow efficiency.

• Practiced gold standard intensive care and support in a high-volume high-pressure environment. Worked primarily with cats and dogs, limited exotic patients. Responsible for the patient care in ICU ward delegating and ensuring treatments are performed in an efficient and effective way. Practiced high level skills such as advance lumen placement, arterial lines, managing chest tubes, wound vacs etc. Picked up surgery shifts often. Worked with anesthesiologists to stay current on practices and protocols case dependent. Used advanced skills such as ventilators, arterial lines, pressors, TIVA etc.

• Responsible for assisting in running the hospital's surgical department, case load and workflow. Completed daily maintenance and management of equipment, supplies, specialty instruments and order forms. Ensured a strict and efficient schedule with the capability to adapt to unforeseen emergencies. Excel in customer relations. Generated customized estimates and work with families to provide the best experience during medical emergencies. (1 year) Transitioned back to ER and ICU to provide gold standard care. Excel with anesthetic procedures and advanced technical skills.
