Hobbies: Tai chi chuan, running, drawing

Tai chi has given my life better balance, spiritually, emotionally, and literally! I use its principles to inform my daily life and singing technique. My Army career introduced me to regular running; I maintain a weekly regimen and enjoy running with others as a member of Howard County Striders. Since childhood, drawing in various media has always brought me joy. I draw with my children and to brighten up the house with holiday decor!

Additional Information

Through my many travels across the United States, I've gathered a wealth of life experience about the anxiety, grief, and self doubt that change brings into our lives. I find purpose using music as a means to grapple with life's challenges. I believe that how we navigate the conflict between our expectations for our lives and the many changes we all encounter is what defines us. Like making music, it is possible to meet the challenges solo, yet usually a better experience when we do so together.
