Brendan DeRoma

I have helped to take care of my grandfather since he moved in with my family in 2023 due to worsening physical and mental abilities. I have been partially responsible for feeding, cooking, doing laundry, and other general chores for him as the need arises. I have also been responsible for his booking of and transport to various medical appointments during this time.

• Myself and others assisted Chris Evans, M.S. and Dan Ford, PhD, in assessing the efficacy of runoff control systems installed by the Kane'ohe Yacht Club onsite by collecting water drainage sample for testing, as well as offsite by collecting water samples from the Kane'ohe bay near runoff sites in close proximity to the Yacht Club

• Assisted moving Exercise equipment from trucks to in-house gym
• Performed light custodial duties (window cleaning, sweeping, etc.)
• Safety Monitor at public open skate
• Sharpened rental skates
• Greeted public at front desk

I helped coach youth hockey players in the development of basic skills such as shooting, skating, and puck handling. I worked with head coaches to design and help players execute drills, and supervised youth scrimmages to ensure safe, fair play.
