Brendan McGuire

I began at Blitz's Market as a cashier before making my way into the kitchen as a cook and than stepping into a more managerial role this past year. In this role I still handled many kitchen activities, such as helping place food orders, checking and unloading said orders, working in the deli and on the grill doing prep work. Furthermore, I made sure the market itself was fully stocked at all times. At the end of each day I would performed drops: counting and balancing the money in each register and ensuring no mistakes were made monetarily during the day before locking up.

In this role I worked in various areas including self checkout, regular customer checkout, and participated in stocking the shelves. As a cashier, I maintained a balanced cash drawer, ensuring easy and accurate accounting at the end of my shifts for my managers. I also assisted customers with returns, refunds, and other transaction issues. I restocked and organized merchandise in the aisles closest to the register along with sweeping the front of the store.
