Summary
With a High school diploma from Marcellus Central Schools, and an associates degree in Early childhood Education, I have been able to work in daycare and school settings my entire adult life. I have worked in after school programs with elementary aged children, daycare programs with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and recently a headstart school with toddlers. I have built strong relationships with coworkers and families from the small town of marcellus and the city of Syracuse. Working in a daycare setting I learned the day to day life of working with children, how to estabish and grow relationships with families and coworkers and to encourage children’s learning. Headstart has taught me more than I could’ve ever imagined, from lesson plans to homework and assessments, I learn something new every day. My end goal has always been to work in a school district, where I hope to learn even more.

- Recently, I have started a new job at Sumner, Headstart. I have learned a great deal of new information here, lesson plans, regulations, homework, and new ways for parent involvement. Some other ways to describe my new position here are,

- After many years in an infant room as a co-lead, I eventually received another promotion to “lead toddler teacher”. In this position I learned how to create a safe and healthy classroom environment for an older group of children. I planned new, creative activities for each day. Some other duties I had were,

- For the first 4 years of my experience with infants I was an assistant teacher.
